Allyssa DeZaldivar (b. Redlands, CA) is a New York City based ceramic artist. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics from the School of Art in Fayetteville, AR. Her practice engages themes of tension, time and memory, and performance. She is curious about the world and about where missing things go. She combines texture, playful forms, and symbols to create a visual language centered on world building, dreams, and sustainability.
Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions including Whims at pH Gallery (2024) and Decaying Vessels at pH Gallery (2023), as well as in group exhibitions such as Lush at Midnight Gallery (2024) and Art Work: Artist Working at The Met at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (2024).
